Demi Lovato dropped her “Heart Attack” video earlier this week, and director Chris Applebaum recently told MTV News that it captures her “duality.”
And, he says, it also shows the candor she has with her fans, namedropping a ’90s superstar and one of the greatest rock icons in history in the process.
“Demi is a very special, very unique artist for which there really isn’t anybody that can compare. I think that it’s very hard these days, in the era of the Internet and social media, for a person to hide too much who they are. We all know the struggles that Demi has faced and we all know the issues that surround her personal life,” he explained.

IT WAS a night of both heartache and triumph for former Maclean brother and sister Chris and Kim Sheehy when they appeared on Channel Nines reality singing show, The Voice, last night.
The episode featured the crucial blind audition phase of the competition where the performers had to prove their vocal prowess to the four judges – Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem and Ricky Martin – who initially have their backs to the competitors.
If impressed, a judge turns their chair around to see the performer – the performer then either joins that judges team or – if more than one judge turns their chair – has to choose which team to join.

More than a few people have suggested to the producers of the Academy of Country Music Awards that they extend the broadcast delay for Sunday night’s show – just in case.
With Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan co-hosting, everyone expects the unexpected – and several off-color, unscripted moments – as country music’s biggest cut-ups collide on stage. A recent interview in Nashville with the two, who’ve given themselves the celebrity couple name “Bluke,” veered wildly from a discussion of Bryan’s unworthiness to host to crude jokes and Taylor Swift’s fans.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Family, friends and fans are gathering in West Virginia for the funeral for “BUCKWILD” reality TV star Shain Gandee.
About 200 people lined up outside the Charleston Municipal Auditorium on Sunday for a public visitation set to begin at 11 a.m.
The popular “BUCKWILD” cast member, his uncle and another man were found dead last Monday inside a sport utility vehicle that was partially submerged in a deep mud pit about a mile from his home near Sissonville.
Autopsies determined all three died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Police say the muffler was below the surface and that mud covered the passenger side.
